Home Inspection Bohemia - Wasteful manifold system for the older radiators

631-902-6761

Home Inspection Bohemia - a vintage manifold system with 1/2 inch piping.

This is part of a heating system from a 1950's basement in Bohemia NY with the old metal covered radiators. While these systems worked well for their time, all hydronic heat in homes is 3/4 inch diameter for higher volume of hot water for these hydronic systems. Renovating with modern baseboard heat is a good option, but requires a lot of pipe soldering, unless of course you use Pex which will save a lot of time and money, as well as minimizing flame soldering - one of the greatest advantages of using Pex. Less flame soldering equals less homes burning down.

So if you need an experienced home inspector in Bohemia, Meticulous Home Inspection is available 7 days, so call us at 631 902 6761.
