Pre-Listing Home Inspection

Inspecting your Long Island home BEFORE it goes to market is one of the best ways to avoid unexpected bumps in the road which can delay the sale of your home. A pre-listing inspection is virtually the same as a buyers' inspection, but how it helps the seller is unique. Picture a new home inspector hired by a purchaser with little experience making a mountain out of a molehill, or worse yet an out-and-out incompetent inspector who quotes ridiculous prices on repairs to your home without being a licensed contractor. Only licensed contractors should be pricing repairs, and even if you cannot address the issues found after hiring your own inspector, having quotes prepared by licensed contractors on hand when the purchaser shows up with their inspector can save you time, trouble and money!

Since 2005

Since 2005 we have performed thousands of home and building inspections on Long Island. From the foundation to the roof, and all the major systems in between.

Hands On Training

Our inspectors have hands-on background in construction that cannot be underestimated when it comes to home inspection. This is the cornerstone of Meticulous Home Inspection.

Book Service

METICULOUS HOME INSPECTION GIVES YOU A REPORT THAT IS EASY TO UNDERSTAND.

Meticulous Home Inspection Corp. takes plenty of time inspecting all the major systems of the house – inside and out. We have heard stories of home inspectors who spend a mere 45 minutes inspecting a home. In contrast, Meticulous Home Inspection take two to three hours, and sometimes more!  We bring a separate wood-destroying-insect inspector who treats homes and businesses daily for termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and powder post beetles.

There are some Long Island home inspectors that advertise “free termite inspection” with their home inspections, but without an Applicator’s license, home inspectors cannot apply pesticides, treat for carpenter ants, nor install bait stations. We bring a full service termite contractor that can actually treat your Long Island home for these and other wood destroying insects after the inspector/inspectors finish their job.

WE RECEIVE NO COMPENSATION FROM REAL ESTATE AGENTS, REAL ESTATE ATTORNEYS, MORTGAGE PROFESSIONALS OR ANY ONE ELSE INVOLVED IN THE TRANSACTION.

We work only for you, our client. Our inspection report is only provided to you and we do not offer it to anyone else without your expressed permission. Reputation in this business means everything, and in our case, our reputation as one of the best Long Island home inspectors speaks for itself.

We do not use a generic check-list report. Our inspection reports are written in full narrative form. Meticulous Home Inspection Corp. also includes many digital photographs to highlight the various deficiencies found during a typical home inspection. After the inspection ends, we are always available for consultation regarding any questions or concerns you may have on your new home.
