Its not hard to install a dryer, but this guy or gal did not install properly.

Every wire entering a box or connection point must have a romex connector. This connector ensures the wire will stay put and not short-out when the dryer moves during operation.

When you remove a knock-out in a sheetmetal electrical box, try jamming your finger in the hole and you will likely bleed from the sharp edge. The romex connector prevents this, and securely holds the wire in place.

Hire a pro if you are not, unless you want electrical issues moving forward.
