04 May Walk away from a nice house over $5000?
I fail to understand people who when buying a house will argue over what appears to be small issues with a dollar figure attached to it. I’ve have found out that buyers will walk away over a chandelier, a repair (boiler), a pool table, etc.
If you are about to commit to purchasing a new residence, and you are borrowing money to do it, to walk away from a house because it needs some work is foolish in my opinion. Some people are expecting too much, and when they do not get it they walk away.
Get contractors in the inspected house and show them the report findings so a price can be on repairs.
If you are spending $350,000. on a house, is $5000 in repair work really that much?
