22 Jun Proper Space for your Decking Boards

Decking boards are required to have space between them for water drainage, but often I find too much, or not enough.

About ¼ inch should exist between all decking so water drains away. Not enough space and water can pool, and organic debris can easily clog and make this worse.

Over-spaced decking boards can cause trip and fall injuries, like in the attached picture, and repair is recommended by a licensed deck contractor.

So don’t be ridiculous call Meticulous!  In business since 2005.
